1. Who we are

Prezenca is a product of Rockshaft Media, a digital products company based in India. Prezenca is a SaaS platform for private tutors to manage attendance, billing, and parent communication.

2. What data we collect

We collect the following categories of data:

• Account data

  Name, email address, mobile number, and password (hashed) provided at signup.

• Student data

  Student names, grades, school names, parent names, parent phone numbers, and class assignments entered by the tutor.

• Attendance data

  Session dates, durations, and status (present/absent/missed) entered by the tutor.

• Billing data

  Fee amounts, payment records, billing status, and UPI transaction references.

• Usage data

  Pages visited, features used, login timestamps — used for product improvement only.

• Device data

  Browser type and IP address — collected automatically for security.

3. How we use your data

• ✓To provide and operate the Prezenca platform
• ✓To send email OTP verification and account notifications via Resend
• ✓To calculate billing and generate fee summaries
• ✓To show you your students, attendance history, and outstanding fees
• ✓To respond to support requests
• ✓To detect and prevent fraud or abuse
• ✓To improve the product (anonymised, aggregated usage data only)

We do not sell, rent, or share your data or your students' data with any third party for marketing purposes.

4. Data storage and security

Your data is stored on Supabase (PostgreSQL database, India region). All data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest. Row-level security ensures each tutor can only access their own data.

Authentication emails are sent via Resend using the domain rockshaft.org. We do not store email content.

6. Cookies

We use only essential cookies required for authentication (session tokens). We do not use tracking, advertising, or analytics cookies.

7. Children's data

Prezenca is a tool for tutors, not students. Tutors may enter student names and grades as part of attendance tracking. We treat all student information as sensitive and it is never used for any purpose other than the tutor's own records.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy periodically. Significant changes will be communicated via email. Continued use of Prezenca after changes constitutes acceptance.
